The Four Spiritual Flaw, God Isn't Fair Part 11

GOD ISN’T FAIR!

When we get down emotionally, we often question God’s justice. We say, “God, this isn’t fair.: By that we mean, “God, I don’t deserve this.” Job is at that point. (Job 9:17-20)
Job is declaring God to be unfair.

  • When Job says he is guiltless, he is not claiming to be sinless. He’s not espousing moral perfection. Just relative innocence. He doesn’t believe he’s done anything to deserve this kind of treatment. And, as we think back on Job 1, he hasn’t.

Job’s mood has taken a sudden swing. Now filled with hopeless despair, Job feels even if he confessed his sins, God would still declare him guilty. (Job 9:21-24)
