At That Time - Galatians 4:8

However at that time, when you did not know God, you were slaves to those which by nature are not gods. Galatians 4:8
"Alla tote" "At that time" Paul of course refers to a time before Christ - before his knowing His saving life. However I still have "at that time" times. I still have times when I act like I don’t know God. I still have times when I act like I did then - when I was a slave to - mastered and controlled by lesser things. Things I yield control to. Things so much less worthy, so much less mighty than God. These things I allowed power and today I still empower them. I make the things that should be powerless like, anger, retribution, and selfishness, mighty in my life. As though I have no choice but to yield, to obey, to follow the path they provide. Help me God to sustain cleansing, transforming habits to follow you in those times. Help me to see "at that time" they are gods of my nature to whom I give power but they are not God by nature.
